Not quite sure about what vacuum model to purchase?
Here are some points to consider before you buy a vacuum:
What area are you going to be vacuuming?
The type of vacuum you choose will depend on the place that you will be cleaning. For example, you would not take the same machine to vacuum a whole store and a house. Thus, you should choose the right model with the right specifications to fit your needs. At Vacuum Expert, we can supply you with a variety of residential and commercial vacuums.
Upright or canister?
Here again, your decision will be based on what type of space you need to clean. These two types of apparatus differ in manoeuverability; for example, uprights do not manoeuver well on stairs while canisters can fit in tight spaces. Choose well before buying.
Do you want a bag or do you want your vacuum to be bagless?
If you are a person prone to dropping little objects, like earrings, on the floor on a regular basis, you may want to buy a vacuum with a bag. Keeping your debris in the bag may increase your chances of getting your lost items back. Otherwise, you may lose them permanently when you empty your bagless vacuum directly into the dustbin.
Do you want air quality features, such as a HEPA filter?
For those who are allergy-prone or who are just conscious about their indoor air quality, a HEPA filter may be the best choice.
What kind of accessories would you like (headlight, warning lights)?
This is a matter of personal preference and requirement. For instance, if you are vacuuming in a dark area, headlights may be a plus or if you are used to vacuuming past the limit of your canister or bag, you may want a vacuum with a warning light.
Power and performance
More amps do not necessarily mean more power. Other factors, such as air flow, filters, motor hose quality and brushes need to be given due attention as well. These will help determine the quality of power and performance your vacuum demonstrates.
A vacuum is most likely to come equipped with a number of accessories which allow the machine to be used for various types of cleaning applications. Vacuum cleaners are not limited to cleaning floors only, you can also clean the following areas with the apparatus:
- Garbage receptacles
- Air cleaners and humidifiers
- Area rugs and runners
- Refrigerator coils
- Dusty objects
- Wood projects
- Inside drawers and cabinets
- Ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Lamp shades
